Species Description - Decumbent or trailing herb, many-branched from a taprooted base; branches to 50 cm long. Leaf blades 0.5-4 x 0.4-1.3 cm, rounded to lanceolate, chartaceous, glabrous or puberulent, the apex obtuse to rounded, seldom mucronulate, the base rounded to subcordate, the margins entire; stipules lanceolate, 4-6 mm long, straw-colored, persistent. Flowers bisexual; calyx obconical, 4-5 mm long, puberulent; corolla pink, the standard widely obovate, yellowish at base, to 1 cm long, the wings as long as the keel. Legume 1-2 cm long, linear, cylindrical, 3-8 articulate, puberulent, the articulations cylindrical, wrinkled, 1-seeded. Seeds 1 mm long, oblong to rounded.

Distribution
Common roadside weed of humid areas. Susannaberg (A4157). Also on St. Croix, St. Thomas, Tortola, and Virgin Gorda; native to tropical Asia, now weedy throughout the tropics.
