    Species Description - Herb, usually less than 1 m in length, with simple or few-branched, procumbent or decumbent, rarely erect, stems from usually thick, conical or fusiform root, the stems rufo-pilose, the hairs appressed or spreading. Stipules lanceolate to widely ovate, persistent, connate, 6-13 mm long, 2.0-5.5 mm wide. Petiolules 1-5 mm long, pilose. Leaflet 1, thin-coriaceous, lanceolate to ovate or slightly cordate, apex acute to obtuse, base rounded to subcordate, 3-10 cm long, 6.5-60.0 mm wide, glabrous to rufo-pilose or scabrous on both surfaces. Inflorescences 2-5 cm long, few-flowered (2-10), usually quasi-fasciculate, peduncle 5-25 mm long, pedicels 2-6 mm long. Bracts lanceolate to ovate, caducous 1.5-4.0 mm long, 1.0-1.5 mm wide. Calyx externally glandular, 7.0-7.5 mm long tube 2.0-2.5 mm long, lobes 3.5-5.5 mm long. Corolla yellow, 8-15 mm long. Standard obovate, externally glandular at apex, 10-15 mm long, 6.0-7.5 mm wide auricles 1 mm long, claw 1.0-2.5 mm long. Wings oblong, 9.0-12.5 mm long, 2.5-4.0 mm wide, claw 2.0-3.5 mm long. Keel blades falcate, 9-13 mm long 2.5-3.5 mm wide at maximum, claw 2-4 mm long. Stamens 9-14 mm long. Fruit ovate, rufo-pilose, 14.5-22.0 mm long, 2.5-9.0 mm wide. Seeds oblong to oval, brown, black or mottled, 4.0-5.5 mm long, 2.5-3.5 mm wide.
