Discussion
Photograph of holotype (NY) examined: Brazil, Goias, "Rio Areas." Glaziou 20927. Sep 1894. Isotypes (F, K).
The most striking aspect of the endemic Eriosema stenophyllum is the leaflets, which are willow-like in their appearance. The glabrous or near-glabrous stems and leaflets resemble those of E. irwinii and E. glabrum, but E. stenophyllum is easily distinguished by its unifoliolate leaflets and silvery-pubescent racemes.
