Species Description - Similar to P. areolatum except: sori in 4–7 rows on both sides of costae; rhizome scales larger (10–15 mm) and more twisted; clavate hairs in the abaxial vein axils minute (less than 0.1 mm long); pinnae wider (35–45 mm); 2n=74 (Trin).
