Species Description - Rhizome stout 1.0-2.0 mm diam., long-creeping; rhizome hairs dense slender, brown, 1 mm long, and occasional thick dark brown hairs, 1.0-1.5 mm long at frond base and on stipe; roots lacking; fronds 22-30 cm long, 6-10 cm wide, distant; stipe ca. ¼ the frond length, stout, flattened, 0.8-1.0 mm wide, alate ¾ way to base, with scattered 0.1 mm long stubby glandular hairs; blade bipinnate to tripinnate-pinnatifid, ovate to lanceolate, barely reduced at base; rachis alate, glabrous except for stubby blackish hairs; pinnae 12-18 pairs, lanceolate, ultimate segments 0.5-0.8 mm wide, margin entire; veins free, false veins lacking; sori terminating segments, free from or barely adnate to blade tissue; involucre elongate, 1.8-2.0 mm long, 0.5-0.8 mm wide at middle, 0.3 mm wide at base, mouth only slightly or not flaring, concolorous.
