  • Discussion

Lectotype (chosen by Proctor, Fl. L. Antill. 2: 95. 1977). Plumier, Traité foug. Amér., t. 86. 1705, representing a plant from Martinique. Trichomanes crispum is similar to T. galeottii (q.v.), and more study is needed to delimit these two species. In T. crispum the stipe is non-alate, the lower pinnae are stalked, and the rachis is non-alate for at least the basal ½ of its length.
