Discussion
Type. Cape of Good Hope. Collector not stated (LINN). The largest form of O. nudicaule, known traditionally as O. ellipticum, should also be found in Oaxaca. It resembles O. engelmannii in its bi- reticulate veins. A pale band occurs in the middle of the blade when dried.
