Species Description - Rhizome short-creeping or ascending; rhizome scales black, clathrate, linear-deltate, long-acuminate, 5-7 mm long, entire; fronds clumped; stipe 1/8-1/4 the frond length, gray-brown to black, reddish hairs dense, 2-2.5 mm long, with short pale multibranched hairs intermixed and inconspicuous, 0.3 mm long; blade pinnate to pin-natisect, linear-elliptic, tapering at both ends; rachis black with abundant long reddish hairs (1.5-2 mm long) on lower and upper surfaces, short pale hairs few and very inconspicuous; pinnae linear-oblong, 7-14 mm long, 3-5 mm wide at base, 2-3 mm wide at midpinna, opposite to alternate, obtuse, costae not evident, only slightly ascending, about equally slightly surcurrent and decurrent; costa, lower lamina and margin with abundant, long, reddish hairs (1-2 mm), the short pale ones very sparse and inconspicuous; veins pinnate, obscure, hydathodes present; sori round, 4-7 pairs per pinna, hairs on lower lamina evenly scattered in sori; sporangia glabrous.
