  • Discussion

Polypodium repens Aublet, Hist. pl. Guiane 2: 962. 1775, non Swartz, 1788. Lectotype (chosen by Proctor, 1985: 543). Plumier, Traité foug. Amér., t. 134. 1705, based on material from Mome Rouge, Martinique. Campyloneurum repens is hardly distinguishable from C. serpentinum (Christ) Ching of Central and South America, but Oaxacan specimens more nearly resemble C. repens in the broader fronds and more series of sori. Study of this group is sorely needed.
