    Species Description - (Description of leaves and fruit from Rusby.) Young shoots glabrous. Leaves to 12 × 4 cm, oblong, apex obtuse, base attenuate, margin revolute, coriaceous, glabrous; secondary veins 1820 pairs; intersecondaries present; higher order venation anastomosing. Fruit subsessile, clustered along the branches. Sepals persistent, 4-5 mm broad, rounded. Fruit ca. 3.5 cm broad, depressed globose, glabrous. Seeds ca. four, ca. 1.2 cm long, ellipsoid, laterally compressed, apex and base obtuse, testa smooth, shining; scar adaxial, full-length, 3-4 mm wide.

    The type specimen is represented only by a seed, and I have not yet been able to match this with any known species.
