Species Description - Stems commonly emergent for 1–3 dm, simple or nearly so, obscurely atomiferous; lvs 7–23 mm, to 2 mm wide, punctate, glabrous; invol 3–4 mm; disk 4–12 mm wide; pappus 1 mm. In still, shallow water on the coastal plain (or near the coast) from Ala. and Fla. to N.J., and disjunct in Mass. and s. N.H. July–Oct.
