Subspecies Description - Young parts and inflorescence with indumentum of peltate scales; leaflet apex rounded or truncate; filaments without terminal lobes or appendages; anthers 0.70.8 mm long.

Field characters. The sparse information available indicates a medium to large (30 m) tree with greenish-white flowers produced in September and October.

A tree confined to the coastal lowland rain forests of Bahia, Brazil.
