Open forest on steeply hilly terrain. Either still dominated by arborescent bamboo (Guadua) or regenerating from a bamboo die-back that began two years ago.

Description
root-climbing epiphyte. Root-climbing epiphyte, inflorescences pendent, spathe wine-colored, spadix (one with fruits) with blue fruits. petiole to 30 cm long. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
