Habitat
Waste ground by buildings, open to sun, with thick 2-4 dm tall herbage. (Original vegetation of this spot was mesophytic gallery forest). [See label for further habitat description.].

Description
Herb with succulent stems. Plant to 5-10 dm tall. Tepals transparent, midvein green. Ovary light green, styles white. Pollinated by bees. (Common weed of waste ground in east central Maranháo). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
