    In general north-facing cut-bluff area. With Oryzopsis hymenoides, Juniperus, Poliomintha, Gutierrezia, Chrysothamnus. In semi-consolidated clayey sand.

    Stems ascending @45-60°, larger plants with ± 100 stems; plants extensively interconnected with lateral roots within top 1.5 dm of sand, forming patches ± 2 x 5 m. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
