  • Description

    Solitary palmlet to 1m tall; stem 5mm diam,. dark green with pale grey indumentum; 8 leaves in crown, with 2 pairs of leaflets, young leaves reddish, expanded leaf rich green, slightly paler beneath; sheaths pale green with scattered brown scales; petiole 1-10cm, variable. Inflorescence spicate, interfoliar. Young fruit fusiform, green; ripe fruits brilliant red. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
