Description
Tree, 20-35 feet tall; leaves not clustered at tips so prominently as in B. roraimae; flowers about size ofor slightly larger than those of B. roraimae; petals white with pink tinge at tips or margins; leaves larger than in B. roraimae and smaller than in B. phelpsii, with similar shape to those of B. phelpsii, not pointed at apex as in B. roraimae; trunk branched with rough dark gray brown furrowed bark, up to 8 inches in diameter; stems leafier than in B. phelpsii and not so conspicuously terminated by leaf rosette as in B. crassa or B. roraimae; leaves coriaceous, spreading/ascending, deep green above, dull green below with purple-red or wine red margins. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
