Brazil. Rondônia. Guajará-Mirim Mun. Ca. 32 km. SE of Guajara Mirim; ca. 1 km. from base of hills and slope with quartzite boulders.

Habitat
Mixed medium height tropical evergreen forest. Along old shady edge of forest. With Phenacospermum, Bertholletia excelsa. Seems to be a rare species here. Flat, soil red clay and fine sandy.

Description
Treelet 8 m. tall, 7 cm. in diameter. Stem spiny; wood soft, white. Fruit green, few, the fruiting calyx green, swollen at base. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
