Habitat
Deciduous forest. Not grazed, but lower part disturbed by slash-and-burn agriculture. Gallesia integrifolia, Anadenanthera macrocarpa, Cariniana estrellensis.

Description
Treelet 4 m. tall. Flowers nodding, with thick sweet fragrance; calyx pale green, strongly swollen beneath the whitish lobes, only turning black on drying; corolla spreading, white; anthers dark yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fertile.
