Camp; 0.9 km above gate into camp. 41° 31'7.53" N 111° 42'34.81" W +-24 meters [WGS84] Elev: 1660m. (5461ft) S-facing dry slope; mixed canopy of oak, big-toothed maple & juniper; little understory beneath oak groves. Fairly large trees, to approx. 5 m tall, with trunks to 3-4 dm in diameter; rhizomatous, forming colonies of up to 40 individuals; signs of extensive late frost damage on many tree limbs on outer edges of groves Associated species: Juniperus scopulorum, Acer grandidentatum Michael B.
