Steep slopes with subtropical semi-deciduous
forest with Anadenanthera macrocarpa, Vitex
pseudolea, Recordia boliviana, easternmost
foothills of the Andes.
Young shrub, 2 m. tall. Veins impressed
above but not bullate in appearance. Spikes
erect-arching. See the similar no. 38037
with very bullate leaves; P. cf. aduncum with
leaves smooth above also grows here.
