Field Char: Canopy tree, bole straight; leaves
spiral, adaxial side dark green, abaxially whitish
with punctulate glands; fruits indehiscent; pericarp
entire when fresh, collapsing along the septae
with drying, becoming conspicuously ridged.
Notes: Used for general construction. Edible
larbae are obtained from the dead wood. Flowers
are bottled.
Locality: East Sepik Province, Waskuk Hills,
base of ridge at Garuka village.
Habitat: Swamp forest.
