Locality:
Borneo; W. Kalimantan, Sintang.
Bukit Baka National Park. East of camp along bank
of Sungai Ella and environs.

Habitat:
Mixed dipterocarp forest, associates include Shorea,
Myrtaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Rubiaceae. Red clay soil.
Field Char:
Tree 8 m tall. Leaves fleshy, light green above,
golden brown below, rust stellate hairs covering
surface. Infructescence 43 cm long, pendulous.
Rachis golden brown. Fruit densely covered by
yellowish stellate hairs.
Notes:
Local name: Kayu balik angin.
