Field Char: Subcanopy tree; unbuttressed, outer bark
pale brown, inner bark reddish; wood straw; Inflorescence
racemose, male flowers red in bud; stamens many; filaments
yellow.
Notes: Used for house construction. Not suitable
for building canoes.
Locality: East Sepik Province: April River near
confluence with the Sitipa.
Habitat: Pristine lowland hill forest on mafic
substrate, ascending Crestline.
