SIERRA LA ASAMBLEA: southwest foot of the range
near the W edge of Mesa Yubay and the SSW side of
Mesa Cuerno de Borrego; ca 7.0 road miles NNE of the
abandoned site of El Desengaño.
Broad, braided sandy wash with vegetated "sandbar'
benches; N side of the wash marked by steep, dark, rocky
volcanic slopes (basaltic?); S side of the wash consisting
of low, slightly rolling decomposed granite flats with
occasional eroded bouldery outcrops; the flats largely
characterized by low, rounded shrubs with scattered,
towering Pachycereus pringlei.
Divaricately branched low shrub ca 5 x 7 dm;
occasional locally; leaves serrulate.
