The banks of the Rio Paragua, adjacent to the
community school. Elevation ca. 200 meters.
Approximate center of the collecting area: 14°36'33"S.
61°ir31"W.
Submerged aquatic herb, with the
uppermost leaves at the waters
surface. Fairly abundant. Growing
in depths from 15-60 cm. Flowers
reddish-purple. Fruits present.
Habitat: the banks of the river.
Substrate sand and sediment. Note:
this area is kept relatively free of
floating mats because of human
activities.
