Lat.: 40°51’56"N Long.: 108°42’56"W (WGS84 Datum). Elev. 6750 ft. In sandy soil among quartzite rocks on N-facing slope with Artemisia, Juniperus & grasses. Plants perennial; stems usually >1 per caudex, arising lateral to sterile shoot, glabrous or with a few simple trichomes; basal leaves linear-lanceolate, ciliate with unbranched setae to 1 mm long, the leaf surfaces glabrous or sparsely hirsute with mostly simple trichomes; cauline leaves without auricles; petals white; fruits pendent; seeds biseriate.
