FLORA OF NEW MEXICO 4681 Happlopappus spinulosus (Pursh) DC subsp. laevis (W & S) Hall EDDY CO., 10.9 mi. by road W of US Highway 285 (beginning about 15 mi. N of Carlsbad) up the Seven Rivers Valley, on the north slope of the Seven River Hills, very NW corner of Sec. 17, T21S, R24E, on steep gypsum banks, with Nama camosum, Sartwelliat Gaurat Yucca torreyi t Oenothera, Phacelia integrifolia var. texana; common here. There is suitable habitat for this Happlopappus along the N edge of the Seven River Hills as far as I can see (ca. 10 mi.).
