Sclerophyll. Eucalyptus acmenoides, E. saligna, Syncarpia, Allocasuarina. Gregarious. On soil.

Description
Pileus 3-6 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, medium gray, with fine, short scattered pyramidal scales, becoming subrepent to appressed toward margin, with slight sterile projecting margin, occasionally appendiculate. Context white, slowly reddish orange then black. Tubes adnate to adnexed, gray, becoming reddish orange to balck when bruised; pores concolorous. Stipe 5-7.5 cm long, 8-2 mm broad, subequal to subclavate to clavate, dry, light gray to gray, with felty appressed tissue covering a reticulate surface beneath; the reticulum extending 1/2 way down stipe, with interior white staining as in pileus.
