Disturbed lowland tropical rainforest on alluvium at
river margin. Karst limestone.
Clustering, moderately robust rattan climbing to
c.10m. Internode 36cm. Sheath dark green with
numerous fine brown spines. Flagellum 180cm. Leaf
100cm including 22cm petiole. Leaflets 11 each side
of rachis, arranged in divaricate, widely spaced pairs.
Inflorescence broken, with only 2 partial
inflorescences present. Fruit spherical, 1.5cm diam.,
chestnut brown.
