Ca 2/3 mile up Sweet Alice Canyon from its entrance and jeep trail, ca 3/4 mile west of Ruin Canyon, in Beef Basin, northeast of Dark Canyon, in vicinity of 37d 56' N lat, 109d 54' 48" W long, 1890 meters. In open wash in cryptogamic soil, with Pinus edulis, Artemesia tridentata, Frasera speciosa, Populus fremontii, Senecio, Salix exigua, S bonplandiana, Rosa woodsii, Chrysothamnus, Berberis fremontii, Echinocereus triglochidiatus, Opuntia spp, Sclerocactus parviflorus, Rhus trilobata, Amelanchier, Fraxinus anomalus, Juniperus, Chrysopsis villosa, Gilia roseata, Cirsium wheeleri, C rydbergii, Lepidium, Clematis ligusticifolia, Hymenoxys, Oenothera longissima, Forestiera, Linum, Castilleja linearifolia, Phragmites, Solidago.
