Turner N38 72 980 E3 72 920; T19N R1W NW§4 NWlA S. 32; 4550’ elevation; south of Ash Fork, 4.7k east of Rock Butte, Hell Canyon, 100m west of Hwy 89; growing at base of limestone cliff along granite & sandstone cobble creek, with Acacia biuncifera, Amorpha fruticosa, A. califomica, Amsonia palmeri, Asclepias engelmannii, Baccharis pteronioides, Bromus marginatus, B. japonicus, Carex occidentalis, Cercocarpus montanus, Dalea formosa, Echinocereus fasciculatus, Erigeron flagellaris, Fallugia paradoxa, Forestiera pubescens, Gaillardia pinnatifida, Glandularia gooddingii, Hedeoma drummondii, Hymenopappus fiUfoUus var. lugens, Juniperus osteosperma, Marrubium vulgare, Opuntia whipplei, Poa fendleriana, Prunus serotina var. rufula, Ptelea trifoliata var. angustifolia, Quercus gambelii, Q. turbinella, Rhamnus califomica, Rhus trilobata, Ribes cereum, Robinia neomexicana, Sophora nuttalliana, Symphoricarpos oreophilus, Tragia ramosa, and Vitis arizonica.
