PLANTS OF QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA Malvastrum coromandelianum (L.) Garcke Malvaceae Det.: S.R.Hill, (ILLS) 2004 COOK DISTRICT Coordinates for Tolga are: 17° 8' 60" S. Lat., 145° 17' 24" E. Long. Tolga; vicinity of junction of Equestrian Drive, ca. 5.0 km north of Route 1 via Main Street, along Marnane Road. [Between Mareeba and Atherton, just north of Atherton]. Slightly elevated basaltic ridge with rocks, disturbed rhyolite soil, well-drained. Eucalyptus forest, dry, few other native plants present, burned rather recently. Partly cleared area, with grasses, *Scleria*, *Dianella*. Buds closed by sunset, pale golden yellow-orange, locally common herb 2-2.5 feet tall, main stem branched both at base and above. Steven R.
