Partly burnt Neurolepis paramo with small forest fragments on limestone.

Description
Treelet. 4-5 m tall forest treelet, stems and leaf underside with 1.5 mm cream hairs, nerves on leaf underside red, upper side of leaves coriaceous with dense 1 mm long papillae, petals bright red 2 x 2.5 cm, anthers 10. Note: this species has a habit of Meriania but all anthers are fertile, which technically would make it Axinaea. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
