Reserva No. 3402, tree no. 1556, Cabo Frio. Upland
tropical evergreen forest (mata de terra firme sobre
latosolo amarelo).
Tree 18 cm. in diameter; bark light brown,
longitudinally finely furrowed and flaky; buttresses
in lower 35 cm. Fruit orange, the pulp slimy, 2.8 x
2.4 cm. in diameter, similar in appearance to that of
Ximenia americana but smaller and cut seed without
fresh almond smell.
