Frond dark brownish-red, minute; branches simple, subulate, somewhat narrowed at base, taper-pointed; tubes of main filament ten to twelve in number. “Forming wide plush-like patches on the surface of rocks to which the prostrate, vaguely-branched fronds are attached by long lateral, hyaline creeping fibres, each terminating in a fiat peltate disc.” Harvey in Phyc.
