Forming slightly pinkish loose tufts on submerged rocks,
outlet of Lake Chocorua, New Hampshire, Sept. 16, 1906.

Nothing appears to have been ascertained as to the affinities
of this plant; the probabilities still seem to favor its relation to
the Bangiaceae, but there is nothing definite.
