1622-1671m/5320-5480ft. Joshua tree woodland and
pinyon-juniper woodland on flats; with Prunus fasciculatus,
Eriogonum wrightii, E.plumatella, E.fasciculatum var. polifol
Ericameria nauseosa, Ephedra nevadensis, Quercus john-tuckeri,
Purshia glandulosa, etc.

Uncommon 1.4 m shrub.
