OWYHEE CO.: Bruneau Resource Area. (NE3?, NE^,
Sec. 19, T.7 S., R.5 E.) Sandy range site
where small dunes are common. Precipitation
in this area averages 8-10" per year. It
appears that this shrub layers readily when
lower spreading branches are covered by sand.

Shrub about 7-10.5 dm tall, with numerous
vertical seed stalks rising from points
throughout the plant. Leaves generally 2-3.8
cm long, tridentate, with many of the larger
leaves being deeply divided. The majority of
these larger, divided leaves fall by the time
of flowering.

Associated range sites are Loamy 10-13" ppt.
ARTRW-AGSP, Sandy loam 8-12" ppt. ARTRW-ORHY
and Calcareous restrictive 7-10" ppt. ATCO,
ARSP-ORHY.
