Campo on upper part of hill; occasional shrubs in rocky areas partway down. Serpentinitic.

Description
Densely tufted. Leaf bases matted, persistent. Tussocks to 10 cm diam. Stigmas and anthers bright yellow, exserted. Flowers with 3 petals, bright yellow; to 1 cm diam. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
