    Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of the village of Tapagem, adjacent to Lago Tapagem in Oriximiná, Pará. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the village of Tapagem, along Rio Trombetas. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the approximate geographic center of the shore of the village. Because the village of Tapagem does not have defined spatial boundaries, used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to approximate linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the geographic center of the nearest named place along Rio Trombetas (same side of river), village of Porteira, then halving this distance. Input coordinates, linear extent (22604.3 m.), and measurement error (.1 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
