    Tree, 40 m x 85 cm with thick, well-developed buttresses. Bark scalloped, the inner bark thich, reddish, with bands of dark fibrers, exudes red resin. Fruits green, many found on ground with mesocarps partially eatern, probably bat dispersed. N.
