Fence rows, wet pastures. With: Haematoxylum, Pithecellobium, Samanea, Lonchocarpus, Stahlia monosperma (legume tree 4-5m tall, top flattening with age, with black spots under leaflets(10-12), Trichilia-like leaves).

Vine climbing in caesalpinoid tree, to 2.5m; fruits red, aril white, seeds black. On edge of road in damp soil.
