0-40% slope; Southwest aspect. Shrub field dominated by Ceanothus velutinus and Populus tremuloides; rare with Prunus virginiana, Symphoricarpos oreophilus, Amelanchier alnifolia and Juniperus scopulorum. Not uncommon in S and W aspect shrub fields in lower Douglas fir zone.
