Non-flooded, lowland forest.

Description

Tree, 35 m x 45 cm., the trunk cylindrical but somewhat irregular near ground. Bark with shallow vertical fissures, the outer bark 2-4 mm think, the inner bark thicker, buff colored but tinged and streaked with red. An indistinct red line between the inner and the outer bark. Sterile, but old fruit and seed found under tree. Phenology of specimen: sterile.
