    Slopes of tan shaley clay, with Hilaria, Eriogonum, Atriplex, Guitierrezia, Ephedra.

  • Description

    Forming clumps to 2 dm tall - 3 within 1/2 m in line, lateral roots evident, but no connection to other plants noted. Most involucres aborted in this very dry year. Remnants of last year's stems to 3.5 dm tall.
