    Soil rocky, dry. Exposure semi-shade. Roadside - rocky cliff by road where it has been cut out.

  • Description

    Herb 12 - 16" tall. Multistemmed erect. Leaves 1 ¼ - 2" long. Flower red orange radially symmetrical, flower opens out flat into 5 petal-like lobes, each lobe is deeply cut, whitish ring at the center, prominent stamens, 1 ½" long orange green calyx. Flower 1 ¼ - 1 ½" wide. Measurements from fresh plant.
