In seasonally flooded campo near river with scattered trees and shrubs (mainly of cerrado species).

Description
Tree 6 m tall with thicket of trunks springing from the ground - thickest of these 13 d. b. h. Petals pale pink on inner surface; darker rose on outer, particularly along midrib; inside of hypanthium yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
