  Abaxial leaf blade surface of Lecythis schwackei based on E. T. Neto 2501 from Virgem da Lapa, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The midrib runs vertically in the center of the image. The light color of the areoles is caused by papillae. See attached SEM images.
