Medial section of a fruit of Gustavia macarenensis based on Cornejo & Vitores 8419 from the Province of Morona-Santiago, Ecuador. Note that the basal funicle/aril at the base of the seed on the right and the two fleshy cotyledons in the sectioned seed on the right.
